This privacy policy (together with the documents referred to in it) (the "Privacy Policy") informs you about how we use your personal data collected through the www.vancleefarpels.com website or mobile applications used by you either privately or in our boutiques (the “Website”) or when you complete our customer information cards when you visit our boutiques (the "Customer Card Program").

The Website is operated by Van Cleef & Arpels International (we, us), branch of Richemont International SA.

We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

This Privacy Policy applies to any visitors or our customers that use the Website (together, you or Customers) and/or your participation in the Customer Card Program. This Privacy Policy also applies to your use of interactive features or downloads that: (i) we own or control; (ii) are available through the Website; or (iii) interact with the Website (including through social media) and post this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us. Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it.

1. INFORMATION THAT WE COLLECT ABOUT YOU

1.1 As a Customer, we may collect and process the following data from and about you:

(a) Information that you provide by filling in forms on the Website and/or Customer Card Program. This includes information provided at the time of registering to use the Website and/or Customer Card Program or requesting further services. The typical information that we collect includes your title, name, gender, date of birth, address, e-mail address, password, phone number, preferred language, preferences or other relevant contact details. As part of the Customer Card Program we may also collect your credit card details, including cardholder name, credit card company, credit card expiration date and your CVC code.

(b) If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence.

(c) We may also ask you to complete surveys that we use for research purposes, although you do not have to respond to them.

(d) Details of any visits that you make to boutiques or any usage you make of our services.

(e) Details of your visits to the Website including, but not limited to, time-stamping of visits, page views, traffic data and other communication data, whether this is required for our own purposes or otherwise and the resources that you access.

(f) Details of your use of services used in connection with the Website and/or Customer Card Program.

(g) Details of transactions you carry out through the Website and/or Customer Card Program, and, where relevant, the fulfilment of your order(s).

GENERAL TERMS

2. IP addresses and cookies

2.1. We may collect information about your computer or device including where available your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration and to report aggregate information to our advertisers. This is statistical data about our users' browsing actions and patterns and does not identify any individual.

2.2. For the same reason, we may obtain information about your general internet usage by using a cookie file which is stored on the hard drive of your computer or device. A cookie is a data file placed on a computer or device when it is used to visit the Website. A flash cookie (or locally shared object) is a data file placed on your computer or device via the Adobe Flash plug-in that may be built-in to or downloaded by you to your computer or device. Cookies and flash cookies may be used for many purposes, including, without limitation, remembering you and tracking your visits to and activities on the Website. They also help us to improve the Website and to deliver a better and more personalised service. They enable us:

(a) To estimate our audience size and usage pattern.

(b) To store information about preferences and so allow us to customise the Website according to individual interests.

2.3. By using this Website, we are seeking to obtain your consent to use these various tracking technologies. 3. Security and where we store your personal data

3.1. The Website and the data that we collect from you through the Website and/or Customer Card Program is stored on a host server located in Versoiz, Switzerland, which is outside of the European Economic Area ("EEA"). In certain cases, the personal data that we collect from you under the Customer Card Program may also be stored manually in our boutiques.

3.2. Your data may be transferred to, and stored at, further destinations outside the EEA. It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or for one of our suppliers. Such staff may be engaged in, among other things, the provision of support services.

3.3. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing above. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

3.4. All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Any payment transactions that are processed by our trusted third party provider or us will be encrypted using SSL technology. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of the Website, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone. We do not store financial details (credit or debit card numbers) on our system. They are only used by our payment service provider for completion of your payment.

3.5. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the Internet or over mobile networks is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to the Website or over mobile networks; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

4. Uses made of the information

4.1. We use information held about you in the following ways:

(a) To ensure the successful registration, including as part of our eCRM project where you have subscribed to this.

(b) To ensure that content on the Website is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer or mobile device.

(c) To provide you with information, products or services that you request from us or which we feel may interest you, where you have consented to be contacted for such purposes.

(d) To send you newsletters.

(e) To provide you with information relating to any events held by us.

(f) To provide you with access to your personal account and selection online (e.g. our extended wishlist functionality).

(g) To carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and us, including in respect of payment processing.

(h) To allow you to participate in interactive features of our Website or other social media offerings, when you choose to do so.

(i) To notify you about changes to our Website and/or Customer Card Program.

(j) To fulfil any order(s) that you make over the Website and/or as part of the Customer Card Program.

4.2. To make the Website and/or Customer Card Program more interesting and useful to you, the information that we collect from you on registering to use the Website and/or Customer Card Program or requesting further services may be used for advertising and market research purposes. We do not disclose information about identifiable individuals to our advertisers unless you expressly consent to this, but we may provide them with aggregate information about our Customers. We may also use such aggregate information to help advertisers reach the kind of audience they want to target. We may make use of the personal data we have collected from you to enable us to comply with our advertisers' wishes by displaying their advertisement to that target audience. The information that we share will always be provided in an anonymous format that never allows you to be identified.

4.3. We may employ the services of a third party to help us in certain areas, such as in relation to payment processing, e-mail marketing, call centres or website hosting. In some cases the third party may receive your information. However, at all times, we will control and be responsible for the use of your information.

5. Use of your information for marketing purposes

If you are an existing customer of ours, we may use your data to contact you by electronic means (e-mail) with information about products, events and services which may be of interest to you. We may also permit selected third parties to use your data to contact you by e-mail with information about products, events and services which may be of interest to you, provided that you have provided us with your consent to do this. If you do not want us or third parties to use your data in this way, please notify us of your wishes by e-mail. Finally, if you are a guest to the Website (and where we permit selected third parties to use your data) we (or they) will contact you by e-mail only if you have consented to this.

6. Disclosure of your information

6.1. We may disclose your personal information to:

(a) any of our group companies;

(b) any of our selected third party suppliers in accordance with paragraph 3 above;

(c) any of the your friends who you share your selection with;

(d) third parties in the event that we sell or buy any business or assets, in which case we may disclose your personal data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets; and

This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purposes of verification, fraud protection and credit risk reduction, but otherwise we will not sell, rent or otherwise make available any personal data submitted by Customers to any third parties.

7. Your rights

7.1. Upon request, we will remove your personal information from our database. Customers are also advised that upon written request you may access and/or request that any erroneous information about you be corrected.

7.2. You have the right to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes. You can exercise your right to prevent such processing by checking certain boxes on the forms we use to collect your data. You can also exercise the right at any time by contacting us at the e-mail address below.

7.3. The Website may, from time to time, contain links to and from the websites of our partner networks, advertisers and affiliates. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies. Please check these policies before you submit any personal data to these websites.

7.4 Providing your information to us and use of our website is voluntary and shall be constituted as your acceptance to the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy.

7.5 In the event you do not wish cookies to be downloaded to your system, you may disable the cookies from your browser and Flash plug-in.

8. Children

The Website is not directed at anyone who we know to be under the age of 16, nor do we collect any personal information from anyone who we know to be under the age of 16. If you are under the age of 16, you should not use the Website and should not submit any personal information to us.

9. Changes to our Privacy Policy

Any changes we may make to our Privacy Policy in the future will be posted on this page.
